Shawna Lewis Sculpture: Creatures

For me, sculpture provides a unique opportunity to express a distinct emotion, expression or thought.

Drawing from my years teaching children and adults, I enjoy sharing my love for sculpture with different groups of varying experience.

Clay is the medium that I enjoy the most as I really feel connected to the subject and can start with an abstract thought and develop it through my fingers as I work. Planning is minimal as mistakes can be easily corrected or adapted into the form of the sculpture.

I draw inspiration from my college studies in African Art where I focused on the form and style of artwork.
